We wish we had an earth shattering story on how our company started,
but we don't, it really just amounts to working harder and smarter than anyone else over the last 37 years.
Midwest Marketing started out handling the group sales, advertising and promotions
for midwest ski areas and quickly expanded into Midwest Marketing forming two
ski industry associations, Ski Chicagoland & Wisconsin Ski Industries, and taking
over the marketing and sales for the Hilton Inn in Lake Geneva Wisconsin.
As the agency grew Midwest Marketing incorporated in 1983 and secured its first waterpark
client just as the waterpark industry was starting to grow and that growth continues.
Tom Bergman, the companies founder and president is a waterpark industry leader. For 12 years Tom put together all of the marketing seminars at the World Waterpark Association annual symposium, wrote a monthly column "Marketing Q&A", served in a consulting capacity to the WWA, has been a featured symposium presenter for 26 years, winner of numerous SPLASH awards, and in 2010 received the exclusive Al Turner Commitment to Excellence award from the World Waterpark Association.
The name Bergman Communications is used as a brand name for Midwest Marketing Organization INC as clients are now located nationwide, it is simply a better brand.
We still are very involved in the tourism, recreational, leisure and entertainment industries and are known as the premiere agency for "selling" the intrinsic values and benefits of those clients...but we have grown.
Clients now range from Lawyers to Retail Stores, and from Convention and Visitor Bureaus to Restaurants and many many more.
